Former NBCUniversal Executive Joe Benarroch Appointed to Twitter
Joe Benarroch, a former NBCUniversal executive, has informed Reuters that he will be commencing his new role at Twitter on Monday, where he will be concentrating on business operations.
Benarroch said in an email that he looks forward to working with the company’s team to “build Twitter 2.0 together.”
“Welcome to the fold, @benarroch_joe! Bird to bird,” tweeted new CEO Linda Iaccarino, who was hired in May. It didn’t say what position Benaroch would take.
At Comcast Corp.’s NBCUniversal, Benarroch oversaw the communications strategy of its advertising and partnerships division, reporting to Yaccarino, who was the director of advertising there before joining Twitter.
Benarroch’s appointment follows the departure of several executives, adding to Yaccarino’s challenges.
Ella Irwin, Twitter’s director of trust and security, said on Thursday that she has resigned from the social media company.
On Friday, Reuters reported that A. Brown, the head of brand safety and ad quality, decided to leave.
The Wall Street Journal first reported Benarochi’s appointment on Sunday.
